14ft carport for boat

Ryan works long weeks and waits all month for calm weather and an open Saturday. His small aluminum fishing boat is how he clears his head. But between trips, storing it at home always felt like a compromise. A tarp never stayed tight for long. Rainwater pooled. Leaves collected in the corners. The trailer stayed outside, and every time he looked at it, it felt like one more thing waiting to be cleaned before he could enjoy the water again.

Last month, he set up a 14 x 20 ft carport beside the side yard. For the first time, the boat, trailer, and the basic gear around them all had one covered space. The shelter is wide enough for a small trailered boat, while the 20 ft depth gives him room to park without feeling cramped. The 10 ft height also makes the structure feel open rather than tight and awkward.

Now, Ryan spends less time pulling covers on and off, less time wiping things down after bad weather, and more time getting ready to leave early for the lake. The boat is still simple. But owning it feels easier.
