6ft bicycle shelter

Noah is the happiest kid in the block. Last week, after a painstaking two-week wait, he got a brand new small bicycle shelter in the tiny backyard. From now on, it will shield the new bike he got as a present last year. He won’t have to worry about rust covering the chain and gear anymore. Plus, it now sits with his mom and dad’s road bikes.

He is a child with a taste for adventure and discovery. When he rides his bike he’s the captain of his ship, scours the area for new discoveries until he has to go back to the mother ship for food.

James lives a simple life. A small flat, a front garden, long days that start early and end in a rush. He’s easygoing, rarely bothered by much. But ten days of rain changed that. Simply because his flat does not have an awning over his door. And there is no paved path to the street. So every time he gets back home, it’s the same: mud, mud everywhere. On his shoes, across the floor, back again the next day.

James likes things clean, but lately, it felt like a losing battle. Yesterday, he had enough. He stopped by the local DIY store, brought home a compact 6ft shelter, and set it up against his doorway. A simple structure, with a waterproof 5.5 oz/yd² cover and a roll-up door.

Now, his dirty shoes stay dry, under the steel porch. And when he steps back into his flat, the floor is clean. For the first time in days, James doesn’t think about the rain.
